“We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.”
~Winston Churchill
At SPEEDEE Trucking, we believe everyone is important, and that we should take care of each other. Inspired by these two values, SPEEDEE is dedicated in finding opportunities to serve and give back.
SPEEDEE TRUCKING CONTINUES TO PARTICIPATE IN HOPE FOR THE NATIONS.
The opportunity for change comes in many different forms. For some it is the transformation of an entire community by providing access to clean water, for many it is the gift of education, while for others it’s providing them an opportunity to begin to dream and start their own business through micro-enterprise.
Even though the contribution seems to be small compared to the global effects, but if we care a whole lot, things are going to get better.
The program is about nurturing change and creating opportunity. It’s about empowering communities through education, healthcare, and sustainability.
Speedee Transport is honored to participate in Nestle Waters Canada's annual supports to The Children's Foundation Adopt-A-Family Program. This group supports families in need within the Guelph and Wellington County communities.
Every year, Nestlé Waters Canada supports The Children’s Foundation - Adopt-A-Family Program. This group supports families in need within our community with the help of sponsors, such as Nestlé Waters Canada.
Last year, with the support of all partners, Nestlé Waters Canada was able to raise over $6800.00, adopted 9 local families and provided clothing, gifts for children and basic necessities from the families’ wish list.
Nestlé associates will auction off prizes that are donated by vendors to help raise money.
Now in its 13th year, the Adopt-A-Family program has helped thousands of needy families in Guelph to have a better holiday season through the provision of food vouchers, gift cards, clothing, toys and other needs.
Speedee Transport cares about the well-being of the Canadian communities and appreciates this opportunity to participate in this meaningful event. Wish everyone has a prosperous year ahead!

Purdys Chocolatier's Clean Water Project
Many people in developing countries do not have access to safe drinking water, but we can make this possible. Purdys' Clean Water Project is a program wherein part of the sales of their chocolate bars goes towards raising funds for LifeStraw® Community water filters. These filters remove 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and protozoan (disease-causing) parasites—which means that fewer children miss school because of illness from dirty water or because they must fetch water from places that aren't easily accessible.
Speedee supports Purdys' program by patronizing their products that help fund LifeStraw® Community filters. Just one filter provides safe, clean drinking water for about 60 children for three whole years.
You can take also part in this cause and make clean water possible.
Ready for Winter
This week there has been a joy in the house of a single orphan mother from Bogodukhov. Yasya and her son Daniel (20 months old) live in a small house that she bought on the orphan's pension saved for all the years she had spent in the orphanage. The house with its shabby windows was quite cold in the wintertime, and Daniel got sick very often.
Hope For The Nations helped her to buy and install three new high-quality windows. Yasya's challenge was to save $40 as her contribution to the purchase of the windows which she did, but she got this money back as a blessing to buy medicines for her boy.
